An old style hotel with its own charm

This is a hidden gem in Bludenz. A place with large rooms, exceptional breakfast and old style decorated lounge. The rooms provide exceptional view of the Alps. They do not serve dinner but the same is available in the nearby restaurants. There is a shapping mall just attached to the hotel.

OK for a stop over

We came late and left early. Big parking lot and no problem to park. The room was a bit outdated in style and the beds for the kids quite small. We slept with the balcony door open which was a bad idea as I woke up to the smell of cigarettes...
Breakfast was good!

Great place to stay on the road

This is a very clean hotel with ample, accessible parking, and clean, quiet rooms. I would consider this a budget friendly hotel and an excellent place for a stopover. Check-in is friendly and quick. Breakfast is good with boiled eggs, meat and cheese, bread, yogurt, and such. Not elaborate but good quality and more than enough. Excellent coffee. There is a bit of hallway noise as people go to their rooms, but I didn't hear any road noise (on a Saturday night), and I had an excellent sleep. We were exhausted from travel, and we're thrilled to know about this accessible location. Very pet friendly. Will stay here again. Thank you for an easy, rejuvenating stay.

For that price very good

Stayed with 2 friends on our way to Fiss. Very clean hotel, spacious rooms, quiet location and very budget friendly. Breakfast is very good. Everything was there. Eggs, beacon, cheese, not so fancy but clean and good quality.

Provides the essentials, no frills.

This hotel shares its website - and presumably owners - with the Schlosshotel Doerflinger in town although they do not have very much in common.
Our room was small, clean and - if not much was going on in the hallway - quiet. All rather minimalistic. The road into Montafon tends to get very busy which is presumably the reason the perfectly adequate breakfast buffet is available from 06:30.
Some of the rooms have balconies.
The staff are locals, they were both helpful and knowledgeable.
Parking is free and sufficient for a large number of cars.
There is a decent supermarket next door.
Now to what the hotel does *not* offer:
- Midday or evening meals, see comments below.
- Those heated racks for drying boots.
- Air conditioning, not a problem in winter anyway.
- "Wellness" areas.
Where to eat?
We saw no restaurants in the immediate vicinity and Google Maps agrees.
The hotel recommends the Schlosshotel, 15 minutes walk.
We walked down to the place opposite the brewery instead, "Fohren Center - Wirtshaus Kohldampf". It is popular and has enough reviews here.
The town centre is slightly closer than the Schlosshotel.
