Comfy beds, good people, nice stay

I did part of my stay in a dorm and part in a private single. So many good things, staff 10/10, cleanliness 10/10, beds were super comfortable, and the dorm room was dark for sleeping. The private room was cute and had a private sink and mirror and little table to sit at. Location is great walking distance all around the downtown area
The only bad is very heavy loud doors that slam late into the night and early morning. The noise was less in the private room upstairs

Don't bother looking any further

Our second trip to Nelson and White Water Resort. Looking forward to returning in the summer. Wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. I travel the world and stay at B&Bs, AirBnBs, etc. They beat the hotel scene hands down. Dancing Bear is one of the top five on my list, and that's saying something. Don't miss hitting the yoga studio next door, dig that place as well. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen worked well, bathrooms clean and perfect for what we needed. We stayed in the six person bunkroom and had plenty of room for our gear and to move about with all of us in there. I was greeted with kindness and respect when we checked in, fitting for such a special place.

Great little place with historic pedigree. Quaint and pleasant building, with a wonderful staff. A stay in time, very much enjoyed the experience. Great work, keep up this wonderful landmark. Regards and many thanks. Markus Sturm

The room was clean and comfortable. The 10 AM checkout is a little inconvenient.

Clean, quiet (I had a room at the back) and comfortable. Check-in was a bit messy as someone didn’t show up for their shift at 4, and I had not received the email with check-in instructions. I was fortunately able to get in with someone else who called the appropriate number. The young Australian woman who took over was very professional and things went smoothly from there. I would definitely stay at the Dancing Bear pagain.
