Le Maitai Polynesia is situated in the south of Bora Bora on Matira Point Beach. Guests have a choice between rooms with garden or lagoon views, and bungalows with direct beach access or over the water.

Very good hotel choice at a reasonable price in Bora-Bora
Positive:
- Free WiFi but it works a bit randomly sometimes with speeds that can become low depending on the location (the hotel informs you of this, however, by saying that the speed will be stronger at the reception)
- Room with a (magnificent) view of the lagoon (there are different types of rooms: garden view, ocean view, then bungalows either on the beach or overwater)
- Kettle with tea/coffee
- Water carafe provided and water available at the fountain nearby (which is hidden in a tiki outside the buildings and which also provides hot water)
- Welcome drink and flower lei
- Good service at the restaurant
- Recycling with different recycling bins on the way to the reception (very good point)
- Shower gel / shampoo dispenser
- There are 2 small convenience stores in the immediate vicinity that also sell souvenirs, one in one direction (going toward town) and the other in the other direction (moving away), the one moving away being the larger of the two
- Shuttle transfers for arrival and departure with separate shuttle for luggage and passengers work very well
Neutral / negative:
- Few television channels even though there are several French channels
- The television does not work well at all with many complete stops of all channels after a few minutes of operation (connection problem with the satellite?)
- As some have said, the street runs between the main hotel building and the beach / beach restaurant / bungalows, but it is not too much of an issue because while traffic is certainly quite heavy, it is not constant, though you do need to be careful when crossing.
- Too bad there isn't a daily shuttle to go into town.
- The restaurant menu for half-board is a buffet for appetizers, then a choice of 3 types of grilled dishes, then desserts of your choice.

Magnificent!
We had a magnificent stay at the Maitai Bora Bora for our honeymoon and we have wonderful memories of it.
We were lucky enough to stay in a room with a view of the lagoon, right on the water. What a joy to wake up every morning facing this postcard scenery! The beach is magnificent, the water is incredibly transparent, and we had the joy of regularly seeing rays come to swim near the shore, a magical spectacle that one never tires of.
The incredible Matira Beach is only a 10-minute walk away.
The room was clean, comfortable, and perfectly integrated into this paradisiacal setting. The entire establishment is very well maintained and benefits from an exceptional natural environment.
We opted for the half-board package, which we highly recommend. It is a real plus to be able to choose freely from the beach restaurant menu, with varied and high-quality dishes in an idyllic setting.
We also wish to highlight the kindness and availability of the entire staff, who are always smiling and ready to help. The general atmosphere of the hotel is calm, peaceful, and conducive to relaxation, which makes it an ideal address for a couple's getaway or a honeymoon.
We recommend the Maitai Bora Bora without hesitation to anyone looking for an authentic setting, a magnificent beach, and a stay focused on serenity.

Exceptional
We stayed as a family in this magnificent hotel which deserves a 5th star. Everything was perfect with an unbeatable value for money for Bora Bora. The garden view rooms are perfect! Gluten-free options are offered at breakfast. The team is professional and pleasant. Go there without hesitation!

Pleasant experience
We spent 5 nights at the maitai in a bungalow on stilts. I must say that it is really the stilt that makes all the charm of this hotel... direct descent into the water by the ladder and viewing of the fish through the glass table without the room.
Apart from that, the beach is small and there is no swimming pool. Cross the road to the reception and buffet restaurant.
Half-day excursion to see fish, rays, and blacktip sharks 10500 fxp... or 100 euros.
To have made the other maitai lapita to Huahine, I must say that the level of it is much lower.
I will remember only the pleasure of the pile which is a beautiful experience although very expensive.

Beautiful beach, hotel of good standing.
Very nice hotel, in Bora Bora, the bungalows are well-equipped, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer... The beach is well-equipped, sun loungers, shower, a spot for snorkeling is located in front of the beach. The hotel is close to shops, restaurants, and it provides all the equipment for snorkeling. Car rental is close to the hotel.
