Modern hotel with top location - small breakfast shortcoming.
We stayed with the whole family for a weekend (two nights) at Hampton by Hilton Celle and had booked two double rooms. The hotel is brand new, modern and we felt very well looked after overall.
The location is really top: You can easily get to the city center on foot, and there is also a very good Chinese restaurant nearby, which we also visited. Parking at the hotel is straightforward and the car park is well lit and secure – but costs extra.
A note: The hotel is very dog friendly. At breakfast there were some dogs in the room, which you have to like.
The only reason for a star deduction is breakfast: The scrambled eggs were a bit too hard, the bacon wasn't crunchy and the bread roll selection could be better. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Worst stay in a hotel in 45 years
I cannot understand the high positive rating by any stretch of the imagination.
The reviews of the breakfast buffet and the bed quality are okay and correspond to reality.
Regarding the friendliness of the staff, it depends individually on who the contact person is at the moment; sometimes yes, very friendly, sometimes also very curt to unfriendly.
The worst thing is, in fact, the room cleaning. For two days, no one came, which I complained about. At the reception, they said they would pass it on without any comment on it - perhaps the little word sorry exists??? Then someone came, exchanged towels, emptied trash cans, and threw the duvet lengthwise over the bed without making the bed properly. In the following four days after that, at least the bed was made properly, but apart from towel changes and trash cans, nothing at all, which means no toilet and sink and shower cleaned. We were booked for 9 days and had no desire to discuss the matter at the reception every single day anew. That has never happened to us in 45 years of traveling. Our conclusion: Never again this hotel! We have never looked forward to leaving so much!!!

Great location
A new and modern hotel with everything we need. The room was clean and comfortable. Fridge and water and a fantastic shower cozy little sofa. Electricity to the car and very close to nice parks and Old Town. Very helpful staff.
