Awsome experience in Hillview munnar
We stayed in Hillview munnar last four days, it was a wonderful stay... Warm welcoming with welcome drink, all staffs are very friendly and helpful, we got very good room with good view, balcony view was awesome,
We had all food from this restaurant, enjoyed all food, food was delicious, they arranged sightseeing, it was wondering experience... Special thanks to Mr. Mansur Ali... Very supportive person.

The most unprofessional and humiliating 'welcome' I have ever experienced.
I visited Hotel Hill View on May 4th, 2026 and had an incredibly distressing experience. What should have been a smooth check-in turned into a 90-minute ordeal (Arrived: 4:25 PM, Left: 5:50 PM) that spoiled our day and left my family, including my small child, waiting in the lobby while I was being treated with utter contempt by the staff.
The Incident & Mockery:
I had initially enquired about rates at the desk, but found a better deal on Staybook and booked online. Due to a technical error or a personal oversight, the booking went through for a standard room instead of a deluxe. I was fully prepared to resolve this professionally. However, instead of hospitality, I was met with mockery. The receptionist repeatedly laughed at me, saying in a taunting tone, "You only booked sir," over and over again.
The Breaking Point:
Even though the rate I had already paid online was higher than their offline standard rate, he demanded an additional ₹1,000 per day for an upgrade. When he offered this rate, he laughed mockingly yet again. At that moment, I felt so angry and insulted that I decided I would rather leave and lose my entire booking amount—which was much higher than the upgrade fee—than spend a single night in a place that treats guests this way. That is the level of frustration and humiliation he caused.
The "Bait-and-Switch":
As I was stepping out, he called me back, claiming the issue was "sorted out" and that he would help. Believing him, I paid the remaining balance at the hotel. However, once he led me to the room, I realized it was the exact same standard room I had already rejected. It felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead me just to secure the payment.
I eventually took a refund for the amount paid at the hotel and left. No customer, especially one traveling with family, should be mocked or blamed for a booking discrepancy. It was a complete lack of basic human empathy.
A Note on Support: While the hotel staff failed miserably, the Staybook support team was excellent. The lady I spoke with was very supportive and managed to book us a room in a different hotel without any additional payment, saving our trip.
Final Verdict: Avoid this hotel if you value your dignity. The staff's behavior is a disgrace to the hospitality industry.
