I really liked the garden - front yard with pond Beautiful flowers and horse sculpture made from flowers Very friendly s

In the summer I was here for a friend's wedding. I was amazed by the cuisine and service. The food is very tasty, the management is polite and tries to maintain a high level of service. Also, the staff and management adapt to each client - if you have personal wishes, everything can be negotiated. Everything is clean, beautiful and about children’s happiness also thought

Visited as an attraction

Visited in October but the castle was closed (there was left a phone number to call for visit but we did not call). The surrounding park is small. There are possibilities to fish in castle's ponds (for extra fee). The best was the restaurant near the castle I suggest.

Huge potential, far from reaching it.

Nice chateau in the Latvian countryside with stunning surroundings. Building is beautiful too.
The downside (on my visit) were; poor quality food, too few members of staff on duty caused long waiting times for service, my room was freezing cold up on arrival and never got warmer than 14 degrees celsius during my stay. No bar open in the evening, but we managed to buy a couple of bottles of wines for our group from the manager.
Decor in room, nice but basic. Cleanliness very good.

great for family and friends reunion and very romantic for couples

Located in a beautiful countryside about 70 km from capital Riga. Little chateau with an atmosphere. Well-kept garden with a lake, very romantic. Spend one night in a double room below the roof. Most basic furnishing I have seen but clean. Probably our first hotel room without a tv (not missed at all). Very relaxing.
I had to fix the door handle (screw) to be able to lock the door for the night, probably just a habit from previous hotels as we felt very safe in that place. Good selection at breakfast.
Watch out for a lot of stairs!!! Not convenient for disabled, I am afraid..

Lovely little castle, great atmosphere

About 70km away from capital there is this lovely gem, your getaway castle. There is lovely old style restaurant who serves Latvian cuisine but food is lovely and service is great. Then, opposite side of a pond you have this small castle with 22 rooms. I enjoyed this place a lot, definitely will return.
