WEEKEND AT QUEROL VELL

We stayed at the Querol Vell one weekend celebrating a wedding.
It is a very well designed and very comfortable country house, with large rooms and bathrooms and a large kitchen.
A nice garden and a pool with garden areas.
I recommend it for events and to stay with friends and family.
Everything perfect and great.

Gem on the mountain

This place is a gem. The room was very cozy and clean. The hosts are friendly and gave information about what to do. Breakfast was super. Many animals are at the property and the place is child friendly.

Wonderful warm Catalan hospitality

Our hosts Nasi and Nuria were so warm and welcoming, preparing dinner for us the first night even though we arrived late and had not arranged it. The building is very authentic - a restored farmhouse from the 16th century - but at the same time is very comfortable with lovely gardens and a beautiful outlook. We had a very comfortable room at the top of the house with our own sitting room and kitchenette and a wonderful deep bath for soaking in after a hike. Wonderful warm Catalan hospitality.

Absolutely fantastic

What a brilliant place! We're not sure how we found it in the first place but are very glad we did.
The setting is beautiful, Borreda is a tranquil pretty village in stunning pine forested mountains. El Querol Vell is a lovely old building, beautifully furnished with great views. Our kids loved the playground and especially the animals.
The food is a highlight, made with care and well presented. Separate vegetarian options were of the same high standard, as were the children's options.
Nuria and Ignasi are wonderful hosts, looking after us well and introducing us to the local area.
Highly recommended

Wonderful experience in Bergueda

Honestly, I should not be writing this review, so people do not get to know this hotel! But that would not be fair to the owners of this wonderful hotel in Borreda.
Ignasi and Nuria, owners and hosts, make you feel at home the whole time. The food he cooks for dinner is outstanding. She is absolutely charming. I fully understand why 70% of its guests repeat the experience.
Rooms are rustic, quite big, and facilities are everything you need if you plan to spend the weekend in the area. Especially with children!
I could spend hours writing about the sorrounding area -Sant Jaume de Frontanya, Berga, etc.-, but I would highly recommend you to ask Ignasi instead of planning yourself.
